Sub-Zero Ice Maker Repair in North Atlanta & North Georgia

When a Sub-Zero ice maker stops making ice, makes a solid block or leaks into the bin, it’s usually a fixable part, not a reason to replace the refrigerator. Appliance Tech Pros has repaired Sub-Zero ice makers and undercounter ice machines across North Atlanta and North Georgia since 2014, using genuine OEM parts. Call our Sub-Zero line at (470) 805-1621 for same-day service.

Sub-Zero Ice Maker Problems We Fix

  • No ice, or the ice maker stopped cycling
  • Ice freezing into one solid block in the bin
  • Small, hollow or misshapen cubes
  • Water leaking into the bin or the freezer drawer
  • Ice maker frozen up or iced over
  • Ice maker running but not dropping cubes
  • Undercounter ice machine running but making ice too slowly

Ice Makers and Ice Machines We Repair

  • Built-in refrigerator ice makers (BI-36, BI-42, BI-48 and the 500 and 600 series, including the 632, 642 and 650)
  • Column freezer and integrated ice makers
  • Sub-Zero undercounter ice machines (UC-15I and 315i-style units)
  • Freezer drawer ice makers

Common Causes

  • Water inlet valve. A weak or stuck valve underfills (small cubes) or overfills (solid block).
  • Frozen fill tube. The water line into the ice maker freezes shut.
  • Water filter. A clogged or wrong filter restricts flow.
  • Ice maker module or motor. The unit stops cycling or won’t eject.
  • Freezer temperature. If the freezer runs warm, ice production slows or stops (see Sub-Zero not cooling).
  • Undercounter machines: scale buildup, a failing pump or a thermostat that won’t close.

Before You Call

  • Make sure the ice maker switch or bail arm is in the ON position
  • Check that the water supply valve is open
  • Note when you last changed the water filter
  • Find the model and serial number and text it to us with your request

Kevin did a great job diagnosing my appliance issues today. He was able to fix three problems and gave great advice for the fourth problem. This is the third time I have called on Appliance Tech Pros to help me out! I will use the for all of my appliance repairs. You should too.

I would like to give Appliance Tech Pros a 3.5/5 stars and the technician, Kevin, 4/5 stars. Kevin was very communicative and arrived within the expected window. On top of that, he fixed our dryer. Sadly, that is high praise for a service technician. My only complaint is that I suggested he bring both parts that could be the issue. He only brought one and had to make a second trip out to fix it. Appliance Tech Pros as a company was also communicative and set reasonable expectations. That said, they offer a $20 discount for a favorable Google review. Now I'm side-eyeing all their positive reviews… Bottom line/TL;DR – would I hire them again? Maybe. Kevin was great. Discounts for good reviews not so great.
